This morning as I was thinking about what I could dig out of my archives for SkyWatch (because our skies, though beautiful, are often the same every day during this season), I noticed a pink glow. I looked out the window and EVERYTHING was pink. I knew there must be a fantastic sky, so I grabbed the camera and ran out. There was no time to relocate-thus the neighborhood is in the photo-but the sky was a bowl of beauty. The entire thing was ablaze in varying shades of pink. A glorious morning.
For my regular readers, thanks to those who have expressed concern over Chicklet.Β She is much better. Her eyes will probably be clear in a couple of days. Her “happiness level” is normal, and that is the most important thing for those of us who live with her.
To see LOTS more terrific sky pictures or to find out how to participate in this meme, head to the SkyWatch blog.

Louise: That is one beautiful sky, how wonderful you were able to have it today. Definitely a gift from God.

Whoa, this is a lovely color. I am glad this showed up. I don’t think I have witnessed the sky in this pinkish hue.

Lovely sky.. could be a painting. I’m glad to hear that your daughter’s lovely eyes are on the mend.
November 13, 2008 at 12:23 pm
Oops, I hit “Submit” too soon. I was also going to say that pink in a sky is gorgeous.. in your kidlet’s eyes.. not so much. π
November 13, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Ooh – I hope your “red in the morning, shepherd’s warning” didn’t cause terrible weather for you!! It sure is gorgeous though. I love when there’s an “a-ha” sky to photograph.
November 13, 2008 at 12:28 pm
How incredibly beautiful, almost not real. You are right to take the surroundings as well, afterall they belong there.
November 13, 2008 at 12:33 pm

Fantastic sky! I love all those wonderful pink shades, and I’m glad you left the buildings and trees in the picture. Nicely done!
November 13, 2008 at 3:21 pm
Louise, I like seeing the neighborhood. Unless a sky has something truly amazing going on I much prefer seeing where the photograph was taken. I think it’s a beautiful photo.

That IS beautiful! Great capture.

π
November 13, 2008 at 6:42 pm
I love it when the sky is pink! Unfortunately our skies are often the same daily this time of year too, which around here means, extremely cloudy and no sun at all, well you know it’s up there somewhere, only because the sky is white but you never can determine exactly where it is, until it’s gone.
November 13, 2008 at 7:19 pm
a postively perfect sky…pink is wonderful!
November 13, 2008 at 7:27 pm

Louise, this is a stunning view. Really very nice!
But now I must ask you the usual question: did you retouch a bit the photograph??? If the answer is not, the atmosphere in your zone looks fabulously unusual! π

November 14, 2008 at 11:08 am
A gorgeous sky. A love the Skywatch photos that give a timely shapshot of what’s happening in the person’s sky. When I look at it, I can’t help but think of the old adage “Red in the morning, Sailor’s warning”. Do you have storms brewing?
November 14, 2008 at 11:35 am
New Mexico skies are hot, too. But you are really one hot blogger! π
Come gather your award.

Thanks for stopping by today and leaving an imprint!
